Metrolinx Meeting With Community Members to Discuss Accessiblity Issues

Metrolinx which runs the GO-Transit service within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTA/ GTAH ) is currently meeting with community groups and members to discuss their concerns which revolve around insuring the service is accesible to all. The groups started in Oakville, and the government agency is currenty in the midst of developing a multi-year program to improve transit to all regions which it currently serves. Concerns for current riders of GO Transit include but are not limited to the use of elevators for those with minor to severe mobility issues which prevent them from using the stairs at all stations, and track let off points for riders whom are currently using the accessible carriage on the GO-Transit commuter trains.
