Metrolinx
reveals plans for Union Pearson Express Station Downtown
Metrolinx has revealed a photo
of its planned station for the express airport train station at the downtown
terminal in what is now the skywalk between Rogers Centre/Convention Centre and
the existing Union Station. The new station will be enclosed from the elements
and be separated by grade from pedestrians using the skywalk to get between
downtown Toronto venues. Metrolinx is the provincial agency that is tasked with providing transit in the greater Toronto Area. It is the primary operator of GO Transit, as well as the key backer for LRT programs across the region including the new Toronto Eglinton Crosstown LRT, and Peel Region Bus Rapid Transit System.
